Getting  its  name from  the Tarangire River which flows through it,Tarangire National Park is the sixth largest national park in Tanzania. It is located in Manyara Region covering an area of approximately 2,850 square kilometers (1,100 square miles.)

The impalasare are in large numbers as well and are easily spotted. Others are eland, buffalo and giraffes, Bohor reedbuck, Thompson’s gazelle,  greater and lesser kudu and the Coke’s hartebeest.
