Tarangire National Park – The raw organic safari experience!
Getting its name from the Tarangire River which flows through it,Tarangire National Park is the sixth largest national park in Tanzania. It is located in Manyara Region covering an area of approximately 2,850 square kilometers (1,100 square miles.)
You will see a large network of swamps that offer a vital water body and sanctuary for the habitant animals of the park.
You will see a big number of elephants, zebras and wildebeests around the river and swamps coming here for water, that is what also gets lot of predators like African Lion, cheetah, leopard, honey badger, African wild dog, caracal here for a hunt and so you can witness a lot of game sightings in the Tarangire National Park
The impalasare are in large numbers as well and are easily spotted. Others are eland, buffalo and giraffes, Bohor reedbuck, Thompson’s gazelle, greater and lesser kudu and the Coke’s hartebeest. You may get lucky and also spot a black rhino. On really some rare occasions, the common usual gerenuk and fringe –eared Oryx are also seen.
